Plugged-In Ideas Gain Traction
The ideas behind my forthcoming book, The Plugged-In Manager, are gaining traction. People are coming to see the value in considering people, technology tools, and organizational process as a mix. My evidence is the recent contact I've had with news sources, other blogs, and consultants.

Some highlights:
- Wall Street Journal article on social media at work: Though I didn't mention "plugging in" explicitly, I think you can see a mix of people, technology tools, and organizational process as the underlying structure.
- Invited to write for GigaOM's WebWorkerDaily blog: From the WebWorkerDaily style guide, "We publish content that helps our readers to get the job done. While we cover technology, the technology is not the whole story." It's a perfect fit and I'm honored to be a contributing writer.
- Invited to write for Technorati: You've probably noticed a post last week that opened with, "I first published this as Authors’ Tools Must Change with the Times on Technorati." For some ideas, I'm it is great to be able to take advantage of their broad readership to get the word out.
- Public events: I'm excited to be moderating for Constellation Research Group's Connected Enterprise 2011!
